If you’ve landed here, you might be wondering what’s happened to AdventurousParents.com. From 2012 to 2020, I hosted a blog that tracked my transition to parenthood, provided reports of our family travel abroad, hosted gear reviews and more. Retiring from the blog was a natural step in my life as a parent. As my kids grew up I no longer felt comfortable writing about them as their lives related to my own journey into motherhood. I also became far too busy with my other work to keep writing on the blog. I considered leaving the blog up on the web as an archive, but my own writing and focus as a professional has shifted, it felt like a piece of my resume that needed to fall off the bottom.

Finally, with LIGHTS TO GUIDE ME HOME hitting the shelves in September 2022 (a travel memoir about this transition) it felt like that was now my greater gift to the world and to other adventurous spirits on this journey into parenthood. The book is about much more than that as well, but it feels like the culmination of what I started on AdventurousParents.com. Over time, I may transfer select articles here on the blog.

Thanks to all my readers for your support over the past decade. The blog was a wonderful experience and I met so many like-minded spirits through the process of writing it. Thank you!!
